Welcome to a New Term of Collaboration and Discovery at Abba Coterie Schools.
Dear Abba Coterie Families,
A warm and heartfelt welcome to our returning students and a very special greeting to the new families joining our unique citadel of learning. We are delighted to commence a term bustling with potential and skills designed to ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love for learning and education for living.
This term, we are elevating our acclaimed Abba Coterie Clubs—a cornerstone of our vision that moves beyond traditional extracurricular. These are dynamic, project-based educational learning platforms where passions are deepened, talents are honed, and ideas are brought to life. We encourage each student to immerse themselves fully in their chosen club, with the freedom to explore a new pursuit each term to ensure a rich and diverse educational journey in Abba Coterie Schools.
The Coterie Clubs: Where Passion Meets Practice.
1. STEM Coterie: Club: An intellectual workshop for future innovators. Scholars will apply theory to real-world challenges through advanced robotics, sustainable engineering, competitive coding, and rigorous scientific inquiry projects.
2. Hospitality & Design Coterie: This Club focuses on blending culinary arts, event curation, and design principles. Experiences will include pop-up restaurants, fashion showcases featuring original work, and masterclasses on etiquette and gracious hosting of events.
3. Talented Creative Writers Coterie Club: Members will be mentored on how to craft original poetry, prose, scripts, and digital content, culminating in published anthologies, podcasts, and author-led workshops.
4. Drama, Choreography and Music Club: This group will co-create original productions, composing music, designing choreography, and mastering the technical arts of stagecraft and performance.
5. Press and Public Speaking Club: The academy for persuasive communication. Scholars will dissect global issues, engage in Model UN debates, craft powerful speeches, and refine the art of impromptu argumentation.
6. Chess and Scrabble Club: A forum for intellectual strategy. Beyond mastering chess, scholars will analyze classic games, compete in tournaments, and explore the application of strategic thinking to complex problems.
7. Coding, and Graphics Design Club: This is a practical for designing, building ventures, developing prototypes, and transforming ambitious ideas into tangible projects.

2. Pride in Proper dressing: We take pride in our distinguished uniform and personal grooming. We kindly ask that you ensure your child’s uniforms and belongings are clean, pressed, and maintained, reflecting respect for themselves and our school community.
3. Respect for our Community: We value your collaboration in reinforcing the importance of respecting our teachers, staff, and fellow schoolmates, and obedience to guidelines that ensure a safe, focused, and inclusive environment for all.
4. Cultivation of Character: We champion integrity, kindness, and good manners in every interaction within our Coterie Schools family.
Update on the National Curriculum Integration
Abba Coterie is at the forefront of educational evolution, fully prepared to implement the new NERDC curriculum focused on future-ready skills in digital literacy, technology, and entrepreneurship. Our educators have completed comprehensive training, and we are poised to seamlessly integrate coding, robotics, and project-based learning into our programs upon the final directive from the Lagos State Ministry of Education.
